About
My passion for sound started in middle school recording really terrible hip-hop using Acid Loops and the built-in microphone on the family computer. It continued into high school when I found a used Tascam Portastudio 424 at a local guitar shop for $120.
In college, my love for podcasts led to working at AM950 KTNF as the weekend board operator. My transition into film happened on accident after meeting with a college alumni for coffee. A few weeks later he hired me as the boom operator for a short film.
After a brief stint as an ADR Engineer and Dialog Editor for the now-defunct Sparkhouse Productions in Minneapolis, I moved to New York City in 2017 and joined IATSE Local 52 where I currently work as a Sound Utility and Boom Operator. When I’m not working on film and television sets, I do post-production for smaller projects and write music for my Midwest Emo band, Everything is Unfamiliar.
